Pub pipes being, as we all know, a rake of porter bottles drained to various levels of their former contents, and blown across in the manner of the pan pipes. Glass bodhrans, otherwise known as glass bones, are the ubiquitous percussion implement of choice for the permanently legless, comprising two empty beer bottles banged together fairly arrhythmically by those inebriated punters who feel the need to add their tuppence worth to the nearby session!
