Go to the members pages of this site and serch for the musicians by entering the word "fermanagh."
I think many Fermanagh-born musicians are now playing in different places. Think about Cathal McConnell and Brian McGrath. You can find at least one trad music session in Enniskillen on weekends, though.
Yea I'm just seeing if there are any members on here from Fermanagh, ive alreayd typed in "Fermanagh". I think you can find more then one session on a weekend in Enniskillen. I no there are many in Belcoo, Belleek, Garrison and DerryGonelly.
There are Fermanagh musicians everywhere, and some still in Fermanagh, a lot of the older musicians like John McManus don't go to many sessions, but are still playing strong. Jim McGrath (accordion) is playing full-time from his base in Monea, and has sessions in Derrygonnelly. He also has an excellent new CD out 'Melodious Accord'.
Also check out the book and CDs of'Hidden Fermanagh' if you want to learn some Fermanagh tunes and learn more about Fermanagh musicians - www.fermanaghmusic.com (sorry I have a vested interest here!)
Good luck
Well, I was born in the States... and this was a few generations back,so I don't really know exactly where in Fermie they're from; but I do know it's the Cassidy line.
i suppose I would be a fermanagh musician as I play a wee bit and I am from fermanagh. There is a great musician in enniskillen called barry mcgandy who makes instruments also. He has an uncanny ability to smoke a rolled ciggarette and play a tune at the same time and most importantly he has a heart of gold!
