Christmas coming

Christmas coming

As we all feared or desired we're almost there. I started to review old tunes somehow linked to these days. I was listening to the fantastic album The Bells of Dublin, by the Chieftains, and there's a tune they play with a carol which I love, but I can't find its name. I think it's a jig, and they play it with Past Three O'Clock, in the second track of the album.
Could anyone help me? Thanks, mates.

Re: Christmas coming

There is Christmas Day Ida Moarnin', Merry Christmas, and Christmas Eve. These are the three tunes I've been working on.

Re: Christmas coming

Hi Jorge, I posted the tracks of this CD in the recordings section now. I listened to the tune you mean and I can tell you it is extremely well known. That is the reason why I haven't played it for decades which is the reason why I forgot the title. I hope somebody will be kind enough to post the name of this tune under 'comments' .

Re: Christmas coming

Hey, I've got it! I remembered it last night before I fell asleep.
It's the Munster Cloak, also known as the Spanish Cloak. It's listed in the tune section. Have fun with it!
