Thanks to our huge national deficit and the terrible(shameful) war in Iraq, the US dollar is probably gonna get weaker in the next four years. Not good for Americans traveling in Europe. I leave for Ireland next week and it's gonna be the most expensive trip ever thanks to our weak, pitiful US dollar. I won't mention names as I don't want to turn this into a politcal pissing contest. I personally find the exchange rate really depressing.........

$1.85 to the pound and dropping, even the Aussie dollar's gaining at $0.76. At this rate Australian mandolin makers like Gilchrist and Duff won't have 99% of their instruments snapped up by the Yanks and the rest of us might get a chance.

Bummer, I just bought a Orpheum Banjo from the US this thursday! I'm thankful I didn't get the prewar gibson original granada 5-string I've always dreamed off.
