As already discussed, it's impossible to turn slow airs into dots. The best way is to learn the melodies from the recording of sean nos singers. Alternatively, you can get solo recordings of flute players: you'll find one or two slow pieces.
By the way, my favourite Irish slow air is called "The Bright Hollow Fog." I posted the slow air version of the tune in the comment space, though it isn't perfect. Scottish air "The Mist-Covered Mountains" is gorgeous too.
No I don't think they would either, but it's just to get the idea of the tune. Im affraid the airs i no are not here. Do you no the names so I ocul dlook them up?

Re: Irish slow airs
There are quite a few here, if you know the names already, but they are not listed as slow airs. I doubt if "Midi" files would do slow airs justice.

Re: Irish slow airs
Are you going to play slow airs on banjo?

Re: Irish slow airs
Oh, yes, I have two Scottish airs on my site: http://slainte.web.infoseek.co.jp/uncommon_en.html It needs updating, and I might add another slow air soon.
"Bovaglie's Plaid" is a Scott Skinner tune, I believe.
