Pat Roche died last night. He was a Chicago dance master who was quite an extraordinary person and well known all over the US and Ireland. He was from Doonaha, County Clare and was the founder, dance master and president of the Roche School of Irish Dance and the Harp and Shamrock Club as well as the Harp and Shamrock Orchestra. He died just 5 months short of his 100th birthday. There is a bio of him online at:

Wow! - he lived to 99 1/2! What an amazing life - and what a century to span...
