There might be quite a few folks who are interested in Irish Traditional Music that live in Vermont. And many people do check out this website so I hope it might help spread the word. June is one of my favorites so I'm really looking forward to it!

Way to go Joyce! I heard them at E.Durham and their music is very special. Make sure to let Mark Sustic know so he can include the listing in his Folk Music Calendar (mrksustc@together.net).
Re: Irish Traditional Flute & Harp Concert in Richmond, Vermont, USA. November 8th
Hi Beth! I don't have your email. I really hope you can make it. Yup, I did get an email out to Mark Sustic and everyone I had emails for. I'm hoping Robert Resnik will mention them on his radio show for VPR. Any other suggestions will be helpful.
This is the first concert I've ever organized. I really want to bring more great Irish Traditional Music to Vermont. A few other musicians have expressed interest in doing concerts in Vermont. Hopefully I'll be announcing them in the near future
Re: Irish Traditional Flute & Harp Concert in Richmond, Vermont, USA. November 8th
Joyce - I've organized just a handful of concerts but in addition to the people you've already mentioned have found Oren and the good folks at Vermont Violins in Montperlier to be extremely community-oriented. Send them a flyer or e-mail and they'll post it for you in their shop. Of course, 7 Days is a great source for calendar listings and is free. I hope to make your show.
Re: Irish Traditional Flute & Harp Concert in Richmond, Vermont, USA. November 8th
Hi Winterhawk, thanks for those suggestions. If you decide to definitely go, please send an email with your contact information. That way I'll be able to reserve a seat for you and whoever you'd like to bring. I hope you can make it, especially since we are neighbors. Looking forward to meeting you

Joyce,
This is fantastic! It will be a real treat to see them in that venue. I'll definitely be there... I'll e-mail you or phone to reserve tix. Thanks for taking on such an undertaking, and best of luck to you! I have no doubt it will be a success. See you soon.

HiJoyce, Like your idea enough to consider driving the 750 miles from West Virginia. We missed the Somerset meeting this year and the opportunity to hear Michael and June. Do you know if their CD "Draoicht" is available in the states? We would prefer to have their music in our heads before traveling that far to hear them in person. Phil
Re: Irish Traditional Flute & Harp Concert in Richmond, Vermont, USA. November 8th
Hi Whistle Bare. Micahel and June are also performing a bit closer to you than Vermont--in New Jersey. (I hope you don't mind Joyce.) Also, I think your wife plays harp? Then she'll be doubly happy to know that besides Michael, Grainne Hambly will also be there as well! Here's the info which I pulled off of my teacher's website:
Oct. 26: CCE-sponsored concert at the First Baptist Church, 124 Kings Hwy E., Haddonfield at 7:30pm with Grainne Hambly and Michael Rooney & June McCormack. Admission is $10. Bring lots of friends!
Re: Irish Traditional Flute & Harp Concert in Richmond, Vermont, USA. November 8th
Sounds like a great idea. I'm pretty sure we can manage that one if my doctor doesn't have different idea. What about the CD? Anyone know where to get their CD this side of Sligo?
Re: Irish Traditional Flute & Harp Concert in Richmond, Vermont, USA. November 8th
Thanks Andee and Joyce. We'll be making it to the 10-26 concert, and saving ouselves a few miles.
Too bad though. That's a lot of beautiful country up there in Vermont, especially this time of year.

Hi Joyce,
You might consider adding the event to Brain O'Donovan's on-line calendar at wgbh.org/celtic.
Good luck with the event ... be sure to tell us how it goes!
