B/C accordion question: rolls on the outside row... how to do them?
Howdy folks,
I've been plugging away on my nice Saltarelli B/C box I bought a few months ago and one thing is eluding me - rolls on the outside row. How do you do them? Could some of you experienced box players share your technique with me?
Any answers (even incorrect, intentionally misleading or just plain poor answers) are appreciated.

You can play a triangular roll using the inside row buttons above and below the F# using fingers 21232. This is doable, but takes a lot of practice, at least in my case. Works well on the F#s and high B, but doesn't sound as good on the C#.
Another way is the technique Derek Hickey describes on his Madfortrad cd. It's sort of a cross between a roll and a triplet using the F#, B, F#, F# fingered as 121 2(or 3), on the ouside row. If you hold the first F# a bit and try not to let the other notes sound too choppy, this can sound a lot like a roll.
The advantages to this are that it's relatively easy to learn, you have the option of landing on the 3rd finger instead of the 2nd, and you can use it on any button in either direction. It sounds too much like a triplet for my taste, but I use it all the time anyway.

Are there more ways of doing the rolls?
