Looking for volunteer contributors...

Hello Everyone,

What a great and useful site you have built up here, it's defintely doing what it set out to that's for sure! I'm personally very thankful for it (and to you all) as I've learned tunes here that I would otherwise never have been able to. I personally have not had a large fiddle community to work with where I live so this is amazing!

Anyways, the original reason for my post; my insane love of traditional Scotish and Irish fiddle music has driven me to create a website called www.worldfiddle.com. The site's purpose is to bring a number of facets of the 'global' fiddle community under one umbrella: news/stories, global events/artists schedules, related links and fiddle discussion.
This site is for everyone, not only the hugely famous and it should serve as a resource and hub in a similar fashion as thesession.org. Currently the site is new and lacks good original content, albeit there is content, just not original :-) It is meant to provide a world view of the fiddle community.

I would like to ask if there are people interested in submitting their original news or stories links and relating to fiddle music. If you have interesting fiddle stuff and would like volunteer posts you are most welcome to create a free account and submit it. All submissions are welcome, including event/gig schedules as well as web links to your personal/commercial sites. Please not that in order to submit, you'll have to create a free account with a password.

I really do look forward to any input to the site. With any luck it will gain exposure and become another valuable resource on the web for the traditional fiddle community.

Thanks in advance and all the best,

Sincerely,

Mike Schulze

Best of luck with the site, Mike. It looks quite promising.
