The beginning is a little like the Flowers of Red Hill (Clogher Reel). I only came up with this because I did a search on the Tunedb using the first eight notes.
It is The Curragh Races all right. A version slightly different from the database one, but definitely the same tune.
It came from a CD called "Irish Jigs", out of a French collection of "world music" called "airmail music" (http://www.playasound.com/).
This funny album contains traditional tunes but none are identified by their common names.
By the way, if someone out there has the album,
could you tell me what style they're playing in? I can only tell that it's not what I'm used to.

Flowers of Red Hill??? 1st *four* notes maybe. I did the same search and got returned "Kanes", but the second measure doesn't match.
