Good news. After the strange dead of our loved priest we have a new one in our congregation. He seem to be a very modern one. Mr. Ical, he insists in be called Mus. First he changed the decoration in a cool way. The candles are now black, the crucifix is in a revolutionary inverted position...
This fresh modern airs afects the chorus too. Nowadays we are building a fiddle chorus. this priest, Mus. is a great fiddler and are teaching us to play. I asked him how he learnt to play that way. He said he had to do a pact (?).He is a great teacher. we are learning to play the notes in reverse order, till the end to the begining. Isn't it pedagogic?
The priest, Mus, Mr. Ical, noticed I'm at the session.org and he asked me to find some of this lovely tunes like "devil in the kitchen" and all this satanic stuff. I really don't know what he want to do whit this. Can you help me? Do you know satanic tunes in the ITM?.
Is the devil so bad anyway?
Looking at history it seems to me more killings have been perpetrated in the name of god than in that of the devil.
Oh, and ref another thread, I read a great book recently called 'the pied piper's poison'
(back to tunes)
Devil among the sailors
Devil's Dream, De'il Amang the Tailors, Devil Went Down to Georgia (Lonesome Fiddle Blues), Attracta's Ode to de Valera, Cruella De Ville, De Viilafjord, ....ok I'll stop cos it's getting silly now...God that Tesco's whisky is goooood!!!! [Better the devil you know than the devil you don't...oh for f** sake shut it]
The Devil has all the best tunes, they say, so any good tune should be satanic enough for your new fella. Sounds like a good bloke, by the way. You'd just better watch our when he introduces the new Communion bit in the Mass. Could be messy!
If the cratur gets too frightening, you can exorcise him with Colemans' Cross or Crosses of Annagh.
Whatever you do,(UK only) don't dial 999 or you will get 3 santaists, sorry, satanists stood on their heads.

Some of them can be " a bit of a divil" to play, right enough.

"Devils of Dublin" or "Dispute at the crossroads" which has been recorded by Lunasa. I suppose this tune's relevant to the other thread too.
