See http://fleadhnua.com/programme1.htm for details on the programme so far. I must get together details on the Session sets workshops which are running each afternoon and also the nightly Club Fleadh Nua sessions which I'll post here shortly.
Kieran Hanrahan is hosting a special Céilí House programme from the Fleadh Nua Press Launch which will be broadcast next Saturday - see http://www.comhaltas.com/new.htm for more details (Banjo players please note that Kieran is tutoring along with Pat Costello at the Fleadh Nua workshops on Saturday, 29th May)
No offence taken, perhaps you have looked in the wrong places.Banner people will not be offended as they know the best and quietest pubs t have fun in!It can be difficult to find the right places as many non musician people from ennis use the fleadh as a party time.......but all is certainly not lost yet!
While not taking offence, I have to agree with Downey that Cluaintarbh may have looked in the wrong place. On checking out the Fleadh Nua website one would go a long way to find a festival with such a varied traditional programme. A whole week of entertainment is on offer starting on Sunday night, 23 May in Tulla with Andrew and Mary McNamara and Vincent Griffin plus other local musicians. Throughout the week there's a series of free lunchtime concerts, afternoon session tune workshops, night time events (for example on Wednesday the Fidil Beo features Clare's Healy Brothers who've recently released a highly acclaimed concertina/box CD - see http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display.php/871) followed by nightly Fleadh Club sessions. As has already been stated there will also be many opportunities for quieter sessions in the numerous hostelries around the town of Ennis.

Fleadh Nua
Anybody know what to expect at the Fleadh Nua in Ennis, at the end of May? Who's going to be playing, and so on?

Is there still a regular session at Kelly's bar on a Saturday night? Any other suggestions for quiet pubs to have fun in would be appreciated!
