American Polka (located)

American Polka (located)

Daver, I knew I had seen that tune somewhere several months ago,
but I couldn't remember where , and it wasn't on my computer anywhere, Then this morning, (after my second cup of Tim Horton's) it came to me, "Jack Tuttle" Music Editor for the "Fiddler Magazine" had it on his web site. Do a google search under his name, He has various transcriptions for a number of instruments there. I just printed a copy of "American Polka" I haven't tried it yet, looks a little strange. After a four bar intro, there is 21 measures in the A part, maybe it's one of those "crooked" tunes. Some of the tunes wouldn't print for me, and his site sort of froze up several times in the past and I had to reboot the computer, but I did manage to print the American Polka today

Re: American Polka (located)

Carl,
Thanks for the info, I've found the tune on the site you suggested and it looks like the one I was after. I did remember later that the recording i have is by Rodney Miller. I shall have to have a go at playing it tonight. Thanks again.
