Lapsed Sessions

Lapsed Sessions

I was working in Manchester last week and took my fiddle with me with the intention of maybe going to the session at the Bulls Head pub, London Road - details on this site. Luckily I phoned the number first. The Landlord informed me that there was no session there and didn't know if there had ever been one! It must have been some time ago, or maybe he'd been sampling the merchandise. Could all those who have advertised a session make sure that if the details change, they ammend their entry. maybe all details should be removed periodically so that "dead" session details are removed and only those that are current are re-entered.

Re: Lapsed Sessions

I believe Jeremy's policy is to leave the session details there, even if they are lapsed, and encourage members to update the information. The idea, I think, is that it's better for us to know that there might be or was a session in a particular venue rather than have no information at all. Also, it does make a bit of sense to contact the venue first although, quite often, whoever answers the phone doesn't always know what you're talking about--even if the session is still running.

Re: Lapsed Sessions

...Or, contact the member here who posted the session, or another member whom you know lives in the neighbourhood, eg, pied p.

Re: Lapsed Sessions

TTFN: Also a mainstay of Tigger's vocabulary in the Disney Winnie the Pooh cartoons (if not in the Milne books.)
