Wow! I'm totally impressed with the Reel Beatrice. Now, does anyone happen to have a copy of Pachalbell's Frolics? It's on Eileen Ivers - as a reel - and it's played at many of the feiseanna these days. I have all but two measures figured out, two measures in the second part having some funky fingering that I can't quite get.
Well, I have Pachabel's Frolics too, but am headed out the door to go snowboarding. Perhaps tonight I can post it. Glad you liked Reel Beatrice. Great tune.
Did you know that Pachelbel's Canon in D goes with the old Burger King jingle? You know, "hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us..."
for those that have played Pachelbel's Canon just one-too-many times in life, it becomes , the "Taco-Bell" Canon. ..that moment in the Eileen Iver's version (taco-bell's frolics) when she goes into minor is just brilliant! It becomes something special right there. tm
Does anyone know "P.J.'s Precarious Pachalbell special?" It was originated by P.J. Hayes (yes, father of Martin). John Williams, box-player from Chicago recently recorded it. I'd say it's pretty much the same tune as "Pachabell's Frolics." Eileen got the tune from Seamus Egan. Who knows where Seamus got it from. He never remembers where he got anything from, for the most part
Hey Zina! I just figured out who "zlee" was! When Glen Road comes through Denver, we're going to have to have a talk about the Burger King jingle thing. Good Grief.
Pachalbell's Frolics?

Re: Pachalbell's Frolics?
*grin* Hi Zac. I think Will posted PJoe's Precarious in the tune section.
When Glen Road comes through Denver, I rather think we've got quite a lot to talk about at this point!
Round two in the Amazing String of Coincidences, perhaps?
