i know this has been out for years now, but i heard a lad playing it on the accordian at the fleadh and was wondering if anyone knows the name of the jig itself since i can't find it.
Ok, I've listened to this a couple of times now (the video makes it less painful) but I really can't hear MFAFH, all I hear is a couple of notes on a synthesizer being repeated over and over again, backed up by some garbled noise.

Re: paddys revenge
They're not actually playing a tune, they're playing MFAFH.

Re: paddys revenge
And if it were a tune, it would not be a jig. It would resemble a reel, vaguely.

Re: paddys revenge
Sort of 'Rakes of Mallow' tempo as opposed to the Sally Gardens tempo.

Re: paddys revenge
It amazes me that the likes of Kevin Burke and Patrick Street thought this tune was worthy of adding to their repetoire.

Re: paddys revenge
Because audiences loved it, maybe?

Re: paddys revenge
No, that would be the reason they kept it in their repertoire.

"I hate it when I argue with myself."

Shouldn't that be "himself", Bob?
IMHO:
I rather like MFAFH, if you throw out the "C" part -
it just does not work for me, so I do not play it.
