I noticed that the bouzouki was only 1/3rd of the distance to the camera/microphone that the banjo was, which might be why you could actually hear it a little.
I really liked the first slow tune, then thought that the 'zouk player was having a fit or about to fall over on the tune change as he struggled to remove his capo !
That was some fine playing, however am I at least permitted to make fun of their band's name? I mean, seriously. Say what now? I couldn't tell if it was death metal or hip hop. "Grandmaster"? "Deception"? ;-p

It just may be, of course, that the banjo, zouk and bodhran combo is, taken together, the harpsichord of Now, and we are in for a saturnine re-run of the Baroque.
The Mayans foresaw this, and made their calendar run out around now so it wouldn't happen. But it probably will...
I enjoyed reading this . We actually made a sort of promo-text out of this (if you don't mind, espacially Nicholas):
Darkraven and the Grandmasters of Deception, an amazing contemporary folk band, the banjo, bouzouki and bodhran combo is, taken together, the harpsichord of Now, and we are in for a saturnine re-run of the Baroque.
Mr. bliss, I'm of the same opinion. The trick I've found is to find yourself some bandmates who do all the dirty work. Just book the gig and point me at the stage, baby.
Oh, and SWFL Fiddler, we're a Death Metal band with Hip Hop influences in disguise :P.
Secretlye blending Death Metal and Hip Hop into Irish Music in such a subtle way that no-one will notice :D.

Well done.
Nice disclaimer. Any banjo/zouk/bodhran haters have sufficient warning and can simply avoid the link. Any reply just makes said hater an ***hole.

The clip was worthy in its way, but IMO it did sound like a zillion fragments of plate-glass trying to mate with a pebble beach.
