I have the Des Mulkere /Charlie Piggot model which is by far the best of them , its in superb original condition if anybody wants to buy one of these models
I've seen Standard, Texan, Rhythmus, and Nashville models around. Any model i've seen, apart from the rhythmus, had similar necks and pots really. There was different headstock shapes and tailpieces too but the only 'really' important difference was the tonerings. There was a steel hoop on the standard, the rhythmus was different (i think?...) but the best (by a long way) are the models with the heavy archtop tone ring like Charlie Piggott's. I have seen some mahogany necks and maple necks too but maple seems less common.
Framus Banjo Models..
Framus Banjo Models..
Can anyone tell me how many models of Framus were there on the irish music scene. Here :http://www.framus-vintage.de/modules/modells/modells.php?classID=5&typeID=1-8&katID=4673&cl=EN
Was it only the standard 200 series?
