Fishmonger, CONGRAULATIONS

I love old instruments, I collect them. One of my faves is a
Japanese Koto....hmmm wonder how ITM would sound on it

Re: Just sayin'...

Good luck to you, Fishmonger! I have a Vega Tubaphone mandolin-banjo from round about 1917. Strips paint off the walls. Happy picking! The Tubaphone tonering system is great for plectrum playing.

Re: Just sayin'...

Congrats on the banjo! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've been thinking about picking up a banjo and about a concertina, but I had better spend the year practicing on the insturments I now have.

Btw, we have sixteen inches of snow here in KC MO! And it is still snowing!

Re: Just sayin'...

Well done Fish! Congrats on your vintage model. Reverend and Mike Keyes (among others here) can provide you with a wealth of info and ideas on improving the sound and playability with a good set up. I think Reverend has been in and out of more banjos than Lindsey Lohan has been in and out of rehabs.

Happy plucking!
