Hey all! me and my guitarist have been hired to play cletic music at the columbus ga holy family irish fest.. Who thinks guitar and whistle/vocals is enough?? thatnks!

Do you mean eclectic, or celtic?

or maybe both?

what you describe will fit into both categories, if you play *well.

We are a duo called Hearts Core, and we have had success playing Irish music for the local Irish American clubs. I play guitar and sing, and she plays flute and whistle. 12 string guitar works well in duo setting.

As long as you sing in Irish it should be alright... try and get hold of a uilleann piper and someone who can play a cletic harp though, otherwise I don't think it will go down to well.
