Re: Does anybody know these tunes?

Thanks for your answers, all. Now I must learn them and get them up to speed...(if that's at all possible)

Thanks again.

Re: Does anybody know these tunes?

I can hear Pachelbel's Frolics being played in my head by an English band. A much slower, forceful and danceable pace. I'm thinking Blowzabella. But I don't think they called it Pachelbel's Frolics.

Found it! Blowzabella recorded it in 1997 as The Savage Hornpipe on their album Bobbityshooty.

Re: Does anybody know these tunes?

And it seems this site already has an entry for it under that name with a reference to the Eileen Ivers version.

Re: Does anybody know these tunes?

The late Barry Callaghan's "Hordcore English" prints this in G and gives the original source as the John Clare MS of 1820. John Clare was a Northanptonshire dialect poet.
