O.K., where did they go? I thought it was a glitch or something, but the sound files have totally disappeared from the tune section. Does anyone know why?
well as much as some people would like them to disappear - they're still there. you have to be signed in, then click the download tab for the tune you're after, and then click the midi file to download.
1. search youtube by the tune name, or alternate names
2. search the itunes music store or emusic - sometimes you get lucky and the sample clip has a full A and B part
3. look through the comments for the tune and see if anyone's posted a link to audio or video
4. search for the tune on comhaltas.ie
5. search Google
I do all the above, but sometimes I still can't find the tune. Anyway, I must not have been logged on for quite a while, I now see the dowload tab again.

here are five better ways to hear the tune:
