I know it's a long shot but has anyone got any info on a book by a guy who set out to learn the French Horn from scratch. It's a kind of journal not and instructional book.

That weblink took me to details of the play the book and a broadcast on Midweek. It had been BBC4 Book of the Month in 2008.
Just sent off for the book.

Every time I play along with MIDI files made from ABCs I always choose the "French Horn" option.

Apparently he had to change the name to 'A Devil to Play', for the US market.!
