Re: Fiddle World - a place for fiddlers and those who love them
I was slightly thrown by the stuff on the front page about how it's not a religious site. I'm still trying to work out why they feel the need to say that!
Re: Fiddle World - a place for fiddlers and those who love them
I thought fiddlers loved themselves! And I am also not surprised that they are concerned that people might worship them! Did you know that fiddles and violas are really the same size? It is the swelled head of the fiddler that makes the fiddle appear smaller!!!
Re: Fiddle World - a place for fiddlers and those who love them
I like how they demand you submit a "real" (?) "head shot" or photo of group. Stuff like that just eggs me on. The whole head? Front or back? How much of the torso am I allowed to display? Can I photoshop out all the pockmarks and the extra nostril? How do you know what I look like in the first place, Mr Mod?
Also amusing that "Blasphemy" has more members than "The Scottish Traditions."
Re: Fiddle World - a place for fiddlers and those who love them
The Fiddle World website says: "We have many Atheists, Agnostics and Secularists here mixed in with an equal number of Christians, Catholics, Muslims and Jews."

They must be Holy Rollers (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Tee he. Playing both, I must admit that I do find playing the viola a little more humbling than the fiddle

Henk's deja vu feeling may have been prompted by this:

But there are others too.
