Re: Hammy's flute...

I saw the ad. I responded that I would be interested and to please email the photos.
I had a genuine interest and could afford to buy at genuine price.

I never got a response-though I think I was an early responder- but that's OK. no loss for me I was just an interested party.

A little surly but hey, so what.

I have never been chastised by an executive director of anything before.

I humbly cringe.

Re: Hammy's flute...

Executive Director of a non profit charity - surely you have been chastised by better - say, your primary/elementary school teachers, fiddle or accordian tutor etc. I hate these self styled/appointed positions of so called authority!!!!!!

Re: Hammy's flute...

Is that "non profit charity" in the sense of Voluntary staff working in spare time for the love of a cause?

Or is that "non profit charity" in the sense of having paid staff but not having to make a profit for any shareholders?

In the latter sense I have worked for a non profit business all my life - it pays me handsomely in wages, and after I've taken them there is no profit.

I'm not casting any aspersions, I just wondered which it is.

Re: Hammy's flute...

Since my previous post I've read more on the ITMS website, and I see that there are no salaried staff.

So now I know.

Re: Hammy's flute...

Correct. Non-profit, IRS-approved charity, self- and publicly funded (no grants), volunteer staff. I believe the Executive Director title is what the gov't calls it. I call it unemployed. I humbly cringe.

I think we should all have another drink and swear undying love and friendship for ever . . . .
