Any low whistlers in Seattle, WA area?

Any low whistlers in Seattle, WA area?

If you're from around these parts, I live on the east side.... rural King County - Fall City to be exact. Reaching out..... hoping to meet up with a low whistler or two to share/play music, learn from each other etc.

You're welcome. I assume they would be glad to help. I got to see Paddy Keenan play low whistle at a house concert, thanks to those guys. :-)

Take the ferry over to Victoria, I'll play tunes with you!

Re: Any low whistlers in Seattle, WA area?

Thanks Tasia. If we're ever up that way I'll touch base. My biggest problem has been finding whistlers/celtic music folks closer to home. I'm in a slow session group right now and we're all spread out.... means a number of us have a long drive when we get together.

Carol, try this website for Seattle-area sessions:

http://www.hoilands.com/session_index.htm

although I'm not sure there's any that are truly local to you. If you're ever at the Murphy's or the Sunday Sultan sessions feel free to say hello to the female singer (yours truly) in the corner! Good luck to you. :-)

Thanks "puckishone". Much appreciated. Alas, all of those sessions would be further than the one I'm already in. There's one in Duvall on Tuesday nights at the Grange Cafe, but that's a full session and I'm still in the slow session category. If anyone out there on the eastside/Snoqualmie valley area is interested in getting a slow session going, I'm ready when you are!
