Hi
They seem to have disappeared, their site is gone and you can't reach them by Email..
Has someone any news?
I'm referring about the Knotted Chord music shop in Ennis..
Paul
I used to be registered with them to receive their weekly newsletter by e-mail, and I bought quite a lot of stuff from them, and they were helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. Then, about a year ago, the newsletter said that the business had been sold. I'm not sure what happened after that, but, as you say, the site etc has gone. As an alternative, I've started using the online shop at Custy's Traditional Musicshop: www.custysmusic.com and I have found them very efficient.
The original owner, Ciaran Cotter, a young man in his early 30s, was gravely ill. I don't know if he has pulled through. He sold the business last year.

Re: knotted chord
Plus with Custy's there's the added attraction of knowing that they're all of them great players!

Re: knotted chord
What a shame! I was there around a couple of months ago, and they were open as usual. Why?

Re: knotted chord
I was in Ennis Tuesday or Qednesday last week and made a point of going to the Knotted Chord, only to find the store was closed.
I've also had no luck accessing their web page, which is a shame as I am also a past customer and found their service friendly and prompt.
Cheers
