You're out of luck cause I don't know anything about them!
I tried it and found that the file had a .txt extension following the .m4a extension. When I removed the .txt, it worked fine. I don't recognize the tune. That must have been some workshop with a shrieking child and what sounds like a TV or radio on in the background.
no problem here -- i downloaded (to mac) it and played it in itunes. oddly, no child shriek and no tv noise -- just a slight low hum, ambient pickup, i'm sure. sorry, i can't place the tune, but it seems familiar (maybe from Quiet Glen?). if i hear it among my recordings i'll check back here with a name.
What is the name of this Tommy Peoples Jig?
What is the name of this Tommy Peoples Jig?
This is a jig that he taught at a workshop. Anyone know the name? Did he compose it?

It does sound like a Tommy tune. But it's not "Don't Touch That Green Linnet."
