Sure, but bear in mind that these tunes are just ones I've stumbled on as fitting under my fingers on flute better than others, and me being a fiddler and a "5-year beginner" on flute.
Slow stuff:

Sailing Through the Narrows
Barndances, Highlands, Marches, etc.
Sweet Flowers of Milltown

The Last Pint
Return to Fingal
Jigs:
Kerfunken (in D)
Out on the Ocean
Joy of My Life
The Orphan
The Old Favorite
Hole in the Hedge (D)
Ingonish

Off the top of my head. If more come to mind, I'll post them too.
Will, you're not serious are you? What the **** do you know about flutes and flute tunes? I think you purposely made that post just to start a flame war here. I, for one, refuse to participate or to be set up by your, what do they call it, "trolling."
Hah, Eliot, I scoff at your obvious jealousy of my flootey prowess. Yes, do go back to your slavish devotion to the cult of Calvinistic practicing, practicing, practicing, even though you have no hope of ever improving. Hah.
I am humbled and embarassed by your comment about my flute playing. Right is right, and in this case you are right, you're just better than me. I practice, god knows, I practice, but I never get better. Same old clumbsy rolls, poor tone, barely in tune, and I couldn't play on the beat if a steam engine was moving my fingers. Please, Will, take a break from being honest for a moment and just go along with the joke. You always take it to the next level and you know how to really hurt a guy. So, now that you've hurt me, I guess I should fess up and say your tunes really are good. Ok, they're good. Now, I said it, are you happy?

That said, Godwin is a freakin' N**i, no doubt about it.
LOL, you've outed me! I don't even own a good flute anymore, just this $200 chair leg from Pakistan. My tunes are "good" only because the mediocre are always at their best.
Could we possibly stick to the topic rather than bickering amongst ourselves...:P
good flute tunes....
the best way to do this is to listen to albums by flute players such as matt molloy, seamus tansey, mick mcgoldrick, lawrence nugent to name a few as well as groups like lunasa and flook
This will also greaten your appreciation of trad music and help you to learn by ear as well as with music...so killing two birds with one stone...:D

Re: Good Flute Tunes???
What level of flute playing are you after? I can list a load of good flute/whistle tunes for a beginner, if that's what you're interested in.

Re: Good Flute Tunes???

Re: Good Flute Tunes???
Just to name one or two, John Brady's reel is an amazing flute tune, I think. For a jig, I think Paddy Cronin's is a nice one for flute.
