I just rang them earlier today enquiring about the Comhaltas session that they have on Monday evenings (It's listed on their website) but the man on the phone said that he'd never heard of one being there. Do any of you know if it's on or not?
Message to Jeremy: The session part of this website is really out of date so I'm relying on the discussions part because I can guarantee someone will see this post whereas I can't guarantee anyone will see it on the sessions part of this website.
Hi Silver Spear, I'm leaving Newcastle on Wednesday so unfortunately I won't be able to go to the thursday one which is why I really want to know if tonight there is one at the TIC. I'll call in at the place this afternoon and ask too but yeah, I await bouzouki dave to respond

There is sometimes a session in the Irish centre on Mondays but unfortunetly not being one of the 'incrowd' dont know if it is on this evening .
I do know the Elm Tree, Durham is more regular its about half an hours drive from Newcastle .
Unfortunetly I have the swine flu at the moment and thus confined to the house otherwise I would invite you over and maybe get some tunes in . Next time send me an email before you are due to pop over.
I have just got back from a great night of music at the Elm Tree in Durham and I would like to thank bouzouki dave and nicholas for the help there. The session at the TIC didnt seem to be on so I got the train to Durham instead!
Oh and I've decided to change my name to summat a bit easier to remember

There should certainly be people playing tunes in the Elm Tree tonight in Durham. It's up a hill not far from the bus station.
