Just a suggestion -
you can already make a collection of tunes in 'my tunebook'.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way of keeping a list of the CDs , records etc we own in a similar way? It would remind me of what I have and also allow other members to see your influences.
I know that this is a fantastic site for free - so thanks anyway if that would be too difficult / time consuming to do!
Plus the fact that if somebody had a tune that you were looking for or you had a tune that somebody wanted, they could always email it to you or you to them.
Ahem! - I can forsee objections from the trad recording industry to the previous suggestion!! But hey, don't let that stop the idea - I'm all for sharing etc.
erm, yes I didn't mean that we would all be sending copied music to eachother!!
I meant that the 'recordings' section here is excellent but we cant keep a list of those recordings that are in our collections at home. We can keep a list of our tunes in our tunebook, so why not a list of our cds in the same way?
(Although Free Weed, I have many, many mp3 recordings made at lessons and workshops - sharing these is pretty legal I think).
If you work with two open windows on your computer display, one containing the active editing box of your member profile and the other containing the recording section or the details tab of a particular tune, you can drag and drop highlighted recording titles to your profile box to be listed as session.org urls, or copy and paste the titles there.
