Re: Bat fiddle

Cool. What would be even cooler, however, is if it was acoustic.
Maybe a cricket bat would be better for that...

Re: Bat fiddle

Not bat for a bad

We are to invest in a Band Bat-Recorder this year to start some serious recording, and our target species is the small 'Myotis mystacinus', the Whiskered Bat or laltog ghiobach, which is Ireland's rarest small mammal

And Ben is with us on this mission

Re: Bat fiddle

Here's a new link for my contribution (the old one won't work).

http://www.meatleg.com/violins/index.html

"Mallion is the name of my hybrid violin design and the coinciding family of bowed instruments modeled after it. It is made from the traditional materials of wood and steel. It is a unique culmination and balance of beauty, technology, weaponry and, perhaps, sadism."

I suppose that, like the bat-fiddle, they wouldn't project the sound very well acoustically. They could make quite an impression, though, just the same.

Re: Bat fiddle

This would make a good investment for the parents of the kid who broke the fiddle neck on that recent thread!
