I'm getting into listening to some free internet radio - it's great while I work (I'm a lab rat). Does anybody have any good recommendations of ITM stations. I'm at present using Live365 which has 50-60 Irish stations, about 3-4 of which I quite like. But it's hard to get one with really trad music, so that I can get more listening to the really great trad players and pick up on their ways of playing. (Down where I live recorded music can be quite hard to come by).
There's a few Irish internet stations that play trad stuff. Look for RTE stuff, I think... it's been a while since I could listen to internet radio, so I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful, it's usually my thing.
Try pandora.com as well, they have some decent stuff, though they throw in random stuff every now and then.
I've just started listening to Accuradio's Celtic and Traditional Irish channels which are a great distraction when I'm supposed to be doing something else!
Glad you like it Duijera Dubh. Just a word of caution. I've got in the habit of sitting at the computer with Accuradio playing in one tab and my Amazon account open in another, searching and plopping CDs into the basket as I listen. Be warned!
Interesting you mention that deeor. I'm using Accuradio on my PC under Windows Vista and my browser is Mozilla Firefox. It works fine. However, it doesn't work on my laptop in Firefox. It only works under Internet Explorer
Not strictly ITM (in fact only sporadically) but http://www.hober.com is quite fun as it's a pretty eclectic mix of folk-ish stuff. Quite diverting if you fancy a change.

Re: Internet Radio
Sashiko, are you using IE Explorer? It doesn't seem to work with Firefox and any plugins mentioned are for very old versions.

Re: Internet Radio
Yep, Hober is fun. They call it "unvarnished" music and that's about the only thread running through it.

Re: Internet Radio
LiveIreland. I have it on iTunes. You just click radio, then folk music, and LiveIreland will be down on that list. It is a great station.
