hey all,

I know I've left this til the last minute but, any chance someone knows decent, cheap, self catering accommodation for two?
Or if anyone is looking for "roomie's" for the week?

There are some places listed at http://www.gulliver.ie, but you're talking about €375 min. for the week s/c for two and the nearest place at that kind of price is in Kilfenora.

The only B&B I've ever encountered where breakfast was still available at 2p.m., but where you might be booted out of bed at 9 to play tunes for visiting relations... ;-)

I'd forgotten about the trampoline...

I'd also forgotten about rolling down the lawn in a barrel....

Might be safer to go with the tent option.

I hear camping is a nightmare. I was gonna go to my first SCWC this year but decided not to bother as I have no option but to camp. However - the best camping spot is meant to be in Spanish point, where on numerous occasions campers tents have been slashed and items stolen. Also the campsite is a bit sh*te and the guy that runs it puts the price up for SCWC. I'm gonna book early for next year instead and try and get a house with some mates. At least my pipes will be more secure that way.

People keep on coming on here and talking about slashed tents but that was not my experience last year. The camp site was fine, quiet even. The camp site is a bit sh*te and is certainly not cheap but I am going this year and am not expecting any trouble.

You can also camp outside Kathleen's bnb,safe enough.
I'm already booked in for a bed,but sometimes that doesn't necessarily mean anything,u could still end up on the floor.
Ya,I've had brekky at 3:30pm at times.

There is a cottage for rent in the town, which has just had a cancellation It is on the corner of the Bog Road and the Spanish Point Road. It sleeps 4 comfortably and has lots of car parking. The facilities are good. E700 all inclusive for the week. Contact 00353877705941

There is a house to rent in town. Secure and Safe area. Sleeps 5+. Self catering, on the Ennistymon Rd. Car parking and large back yard, for tents?. shower and loo downstairs and 2 doubles and single bed upstairs with bathroom. Towels, linen, esb etc included. cost E700. This includes both weekends.
