Tune ID

Tune ID

This is somewhat of the topic of this board, as I believe it is a tune from the highland piping repertoire - a quickstep, I think.

I've recently heard it played in G by a mandolin player who learnt it from a recording of The Kilbride brothers from South Wales. I forget the name that they have for it, but I remember that it didn't sound like the original name. I'm sure I've either heard it played by a pipe band or seen it in a piping collection.

It has 4 parts - here are the first two only (not sure about the accuracy bar 2 of the B-part):

L:1/8
M:2/4
K:Hp
c/d/ | e>f ec | A>B Aa | fe/c/ e/f/a/e/ |1,3 cB B:|2,4 cA A:|
|: a | fe/c/ e/f/a/e/ | f/a/f/e/ ca | fe/c/ e/f/a/e/ | 1,3 cB B:| 2,4 cA A:|
