I heard this played by one of the box players at the "Accordion Hell" concert at the Celtic Connections Festival in 2008 (I forgot who), and was hoping one of you guys might know its name.
Any ideas?

Sorry but I couldn't find if there was a 'named' composer for this one, but have a sneaking suspicion I did know one... Let's hope someone else can fill in that blank...
Yes, it is a lovely tune... It also makes a brilliant set, as you would have already heard, with ~
Nice Tune! I knew I heard it on a recording before, but I forgot on which one and never found out the name. But now (thanks to Rallef) I remember: It was played by Eileen Ivers on Wild Blue under the Name of "DNA Bourrees" http://www.greenlinnet.com/album.php?id=509

Re: Nice bouree
Oh yes, also comes in the blood ~ it's a bouree, not a waltz...

Re: Nice waltz
ceolachan, somehow you have managed to post links to two different tunes.
The one in the first post is called Coccinelle and can be heard here:
http://jeanblanchardb.free.fr/Cornemuses/Ecoutez/Entrees/2006/11/18_La.coccinelle-Une.oie%2Cdeux.oies.html
Fil et Bobine is a different tune which you linked to here:

Re: Nice waltz
And it's definitely not breton - Britanny does not have any bourées.
I don't know enough to say what kind of bourrée Jean intended this tune to be - sounds like it would work well as a bourrée from Auvergne to me.

Looking at the album entry
http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display.php/357
shows that two tracks are missing in the list (DNA Bourrées and Blue Groove)
