Barry Kerr - Three sisters Album..Any Odds??

Barry Kerr - Three sisters Album..Any Odds??

Barry Kerr's Debut Album..Ne1 know where I can get hard copy of dis? Only started listenin to Barrys music recently. Asked the fellas in outlet recored, they seemed unaware of the album and is wasnt on their inventory..Mite try and trackk Mr Kerr down ata session but I believe hes in the States at present. Heres what Seamus Tansey had to say about the album.. Barry Kerr is one of the most exciting, powerful and talented young flute players to hit the Irish Traditional music scene at this very moment. I am honoured to announce the fact that I was there with him in the early years, when this young eagle was spreading the wings getting ready to fly. It was a profound experience to me, never to be forgotten. A passing of the musical torch to a future generation, the sowing of a seed that I have witnessed has come to its glorious ripening in my lifetime. I ask for no greater reward or memorial than this memorial of young human flesh and blood. In my opinion Ladies and Gentlemen “You ain’t heard nothing yet” Good Luck, Barry, and give the boys timber! Seamus Tansey

The album was released 11 years ago by Colum Sands's Spring Records. Your best bet is to contact Colum directly - http://www.columsands.net/ - but I doubt whether either he or Barry has copies left after all this time.

Re: Barry Kerr - Three sisters Album..Any Odds??

really.. whats it like?? mostly solo flute?? wonder why it went out of production.. Im actually in the process of learning the whole Aoifes Lie in set of the World looks away as I type. its a Gem..Started off just learning da last tune and cudnt just leave it there!!Cant find ne1 who knows what the first fast reel is on it before Stranger at the gate..track 7. Wonder how these reels would go down in Fleadh solo comps. I assume dey are new compositions. not a clue about the first two the third and last was composed by Uilleann Pipe maker Benidict Koehler..Kerr plays it differently though, alot of change up from the original. Which in this case isa good thing..No wonder it was Seamus Tansey that wrote the foreword for three sisters!
