Preparations are well underway in Co. Kerry for the upcoming World Bodhrán Championships in Miltown. Local musicians and singers gather in the Miltown Community Hall and among the performers is 2006 World Bodhrán champion, Neil Lyons.

Listen for tractor impressions on RTE Ceili House next Sunday evening.

well I suppose I can tolerate them all meeting up once a year to stroke each others egos and bang the sh*te out of their drums...thank God it's well away from where I live!

All problems are problems of geography.

A problem in Kerry is not a problem for most of us.

Fun is subjective? I suppose it depends on what you are being subjected to.

On a scale of 1 to 10, bodhran has got to rank higher than water boarding.

A problem in Kerry is subjective to how very Kerry you are.

They should have weight classes, pairs, coxless fours, etc etc.
Also a round-robin bodhran team competition.

And then there is always Contrary Dancing (couples but with each person doing their own thing).
