Though, if you can handle it, their a full screen option to, just click on the middle of those 4 arrows... I'm working and enjoying this again, all goose bumps...
Brilliant, I heard "whisperin" Bob Harris on about this a while back and it's as good as he said. Your right about it not being ITM, it's much more important than that.
The Trad version would break up when the fiddler saw the bodhran and walked out and the flute player objected to the hornpipe having too much swing. And then the Comhaltas rep got involved ....
It's just great to see the way everyone in those videos was able to pick up on the "groove" and adapt to it and add their style without imposing it though
Nearly every day I am pleased as punch just to see the green side of the grass when I open my eyes in the morning. That alone sends my day off in a good direction. I must say Ceolachan this morning this video tipped the good direction to brilliant! Powerful stuff music. Thanks for sharing!
nice one ceolachan _ reassuring feelings of 'the power of music and life' itself are effortlessly surfaced in this thoughtful piece, skillfuly edited visuals to sound and with an end as unassumimg as the start, held me quite still ''Stand by me''
not in the same 'lifting' groove, but i'd like to see this global treatment given to the much older (and somewhat mysterious) song 'The Parting Glass', set at night with ''Good night and joy be with you all''
or better still (with contraversial reality), the same tune set to a sensitive rewrite of the lyrics to embody the suffering and futility of WAR and filmed in different war-torn corners of the world ''Could it change anything?''
outstanding Ceolachan, you get your virtual case of beer for that one !
ps anyone with a stone age computer (like mine ) go straight to the second link, the fist one put mine into "tilt" mode - "master power system reboot" was required.
Now, where's my gibson, the one in open D..... and a slide
Thanks for sharing it with me, you're a great lot, and I'd love to be part of carrying off something like one of the several parting songs, "The Parting Glass". I learned a lovely way with it from Paddy Tunney & Geordie and Sarah Ann Hannah...and others over time. I can imagine doing it with a certain "Galway Bay" too...
The fact this was shared and appreciated in kind makes it that much more satisfying... A friend sent the link to me, and I was able to send it on to others courtesy of here and Jeremy...
Stand by Me :-)

Just sent by a friend ~ a favourite song and nice takes on it, and it definitely picked me up, grinning from ear to ear...
I LOVE IT!!! I can't keep it to myself...
It ain't ITM ~ but this is so damned fine, and it is in a sense in the spirit of the session... This joy has to be shared...

Yeah, it's a good one, c. But you know, we could do that! Why don't you lay down a track of Danny Boy, and I'll throw in some backing...
