Fiddle teachers in Binghamton, NY

Fiddle teachers in Binghamton, NY

Anyone have any personal experience of fiddle teachers in the Binghamton area? An acquaintance is looking for a teacher for her nine-year old. Google has turned up Hope Grietzer, but I thought I'd check here as well.

Try looking up Pat Kane. He may be able to put you on to a good tutor that way. You can reach Pat through his website: http://www.westoclare.com/

All the best!

Peace,
Ed

Re: Fiddle teachers in Binghamton, NY

Hope is my teacher, my daughter's as well (starting at age 9). She does a top rate job with kids and adults, and is just a nice lady in addition to being a terrific fiddler. She also hosts a monthly "Kids Jam" group at no charge, which goes a long way towards keeping the kids interested in the social aspect of the music. She has a website www.happyhollowmusic.com with her credentials. Her email is hopegrietzer1@netzero.com.

Pat Kane is a friend of mine. He's inspirational, quite fun to listen to and more pure drop. He is a full time performer, and doesn't normally take students. His website is http://www.westoclare.com/

Hope this helps.

Tracy
