1. Chorus I beleive is 'Franco is/wqas a facist bastard
2. 'As I went out by Broadway' about a sailor who gets ripped off by a new York woman of the night
I'm getting increasingly worried about these 'Facists'. They have to be quelled forthwith and I do mean proper quelling. They can't be allowed to keep sticking their ugly mugs in any available aperture or orifice.
i was a bit worried about the first listing from the link above....something about places for working girls......"What ? ! ?" I thought......
My first lines are;
As I walked out on Broadway,
One evening in July
I met a maid who asked my trade
And "A sailor John" said I.
Franco -well that's well known already, do we need to give him the oxygen of publicity ?
Ramiro, what did you make with these coins? Not one of those belly dancing belts? That I'd like to see. Post us a picture... You could make one with Lenin coins on one side and Franko coins on the other, Franko to the right of us, Lenin to the left of us, and shimmy, shimmy, chug, chug...
To the melody in question of course, a polka would do. We could start up a new wave of interest in Irish belly dancing, though I understand the belly dancing classes in Dublin and Cork are bursting at the seams...
Sorry C, didn't mean that. Why don't we speak Galician, or any other easy language?
I meant that those coins were the coins in use here for many years, even after Franco's death.
His face on those coins was looking to the right, unlike most other coins I know: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/16/Spanish_peseta_coin_with_Franco_1963.gif
I still keep some of those coins, but if I were to make a belly dancing belt for me to wear, I'd need MANY MANY more coins than I ever had
"As I was walking down Broadway,
Not intending to stay very long,
I met with a frolicsome damsel,
As she came tripping along.
A watch she took out of her pocket,
And slipped it right into me hand
From the very first day that I met her,
Bad luck to the Black Velvet Band" Etc...

I even made use of coins with his face on them! (he was looking to the right, of course).

You I would gladly learn Galician from...

We've had belly dancing belts show up in the dance classes I've been teaching. But then, last week, we were trying out hoola-hoops...

Re: Franco is a Facist Bastard and New York Girls
Franco was a FASCIST bastard, if he was anything.
A facist is someone who discriminates against faces.
