Uilleann Pipe Case

Hi,
My 10 year old pipe case is defiantly past its expiry date... so I am on the lookout for a new one...

I was thinking for buying a BAM hightech viola case to use for the pipes.

Pricey but looks like it would protect it well.

Has anyone had any experience using these? What is the size like for fitting the pipes and can you normally take it on the plane as hand luggage?

They do violin cases as well but this might be a bit small?

Any other comments or advice would be great!

Hey Lamb,
McSherry has the exact same one, and he thinks its great
He said its real easy to fly with aswell.
He fits his full set in it, and a few whistles where you would normally put the bows,

He took the padding inside out though to fit it all in, but i think you would need to do that anyways,

My Da uses a Noah Ark Flightcase for his C set same case as urs for the others. U can take a look at it wen I get back if u want. Bombproof? pricey also n fairly heavy, and probably unsuitable for handluggage in any case..get it

It should be soon, though hes working on his Solo Album at the min, now that is gonna be good!
