Oddly enough they (Melvyn Bragg and his panel) mentioned Tom Paine on the radio this morning in a discussion about when the Suffragette movement started in the UK. Obviously his Rights of Man included women.
Did you know New Zealand was the first country to give women the vote?
I shouldn't be surprised if you trawled through the entire Unicode character set you'd find characters more or less equivalent to an inverted Latin alphabet. The Cyrillic ǝ is one. But life is short; there must be some neat software trick to it.
