Anyone catch "Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles" the other night?

Anyone catch "Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles" the other night?

A terminator and a little girl singing "Donald Where's Your Trousers". :-D I think this was the high point of the series.

I havn't been watching it, both from confusion in the schedules to my belief that anything developed from a film to tv has to be a dilution, with the honourable exception of MASH.
Have they put a 'culture' chip in the Terminator, that he can sing ?

I haven't watched it yet, but now I'm quite eager to. Guernsey Pete, you can catch it on Hulu.com for free if you're in the US. It's actually a pretty good show. It follows a timeline that begins after Terminator Two, one which doesn't include the events of T3, but does acknowledge them as another timeline.

Wow, bizarre! Where's 'the rest of the story'? [/Paul Harvey voice] Guess I may have to watch that one.

Re: Anyone catch "Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles" the other night?

I've been a fan of the show from the beginning, but I did really enjoy that episode.

The little girl's "mother" is supposed to be Scottish (even though she's been shown to be a T-1000), so it's an appropriately cute song for the girl to know.

You know, technically, "John Henry" isn't a terminator; he's an advanced AI that's using a T-888 body to be able to express himself and act more human.

I suspect that the "brother" JH has been talking about is actually the thing that becomes SkyNet and that John Henry is somehow responsible for the "metal" that sides with the humans; like Cameron.

So far, I really like how the story is unfolding. It's pretty good TV and a cut above most SciFi offerings, lately (BSG excepted, of course).

Re: Anyone catch "Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles" the other night?

What was really funny was the line from the little girl when she said her mother "couldn't sing". Because that's what Shirley Manson did before being cast in the show. A band called "Garbage" if I'm not mistaken. I wasn't a fan.

Yeah, nothing beats BSG. They even had some pipe & whistle music on the show at times. Great sci-fi.

BSG? That's who I work for in London! The only Starbucks we get here are in polystyrene cups though. Shame.

I watched it as well and just thought that the tune sounded great with the soft menacing strings in the background. I even put a request in for the ABC code for Donald Where's Your Trousers.

Actually you put in a request for "Harold where's your trousers"!!!!

Anyway it is hardly the hardest tune to work out by ear - you should give it a shot!
