Scór competitions are competitions for young people, there is Scór na paisti which is for under 12s as far as I know, and Scór na n'og for over 12s. it's not just music they have dancing, quizzes and plays as well, as far as I know it's run by the GAA.
It's not just young people, Cathy, but Scór na nÓg is.
The Munster competiton is in Waterford this weekend - our GAA club has a Ballad group and Novelty Act competing.
There's also quizzes, as mentioned, set dancing and solo, music and solo singing
Mabye in Ennis you might get some quality acts..Generally speaking the GAA runs Scor for people who cant play sport. Regects..So to speak..who make up poems..Dance..and wher Accordian Ochestras make the judges wet..Having being roped into competed in Scor na nOg I would rather eat a bag of sand than sit through that mess..NO NO NO NO NO NO is your awnser. dont go. Go into Ennis find a session instead.
