The test maker is a bit confused about what constitutes the "same musical phrase", as many people are. In some of the examples, the background chords were changed. In others, the pitch of the original was raised slightly. The intention seemed to be that these changes constitute the creation of a different musical phrase. They do not.
Test your Ear!
Test your Ear!
For all those folks here who reckon they have a GOOD EAR for learning tunes, here are a couple of tests to see just how good your ears really are:

"musical memory abilities." .... http://jakemandell.com/tonedeaf/
"This test measures your pitch perception abilities" .... http://tonometric.com/adaptivepitch/
While we're at it, lets test all the whizz kid percussionist Bodhran players here!
So you think you have a brilliant "rhythm memory" .... http://tonometric.com/rhythmdeaf/
Just for the record I scored 83.3% in the 1st test & 60% in the 2nd test.
I started the 3rd test on rhythm, but got bored & stopped half way through ...... well you would wouldn't you, after all it was ONLY Rhythm!
Cheers
