Has anyone else tried this new Microsoft software? It's just the trick for ITM!
If, like me, you're fed up with spoons, bodhrans and guitar backing with those cutsey descending bass lines, all you need to do is play into your computer and the software will work out the chords for you. You can pick the rhythmic style yourself - the rock and blues ones mostly have that extra "swing", perfect for reels played with an almost hornpipe feel.
Try it - you won't regret it!
Maybe.
A search for songsmith in youtube returns lots of clips, but I won't dare to listen to them.
I didn't know of this thing before mickray posted his link, but it seems to be quite popular. Can't understand why.
