As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg
As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg
"I am not complaining, I am merely showing what is being done elsewhere!"
I have really enjoyed all the youtube journeys that have commenced on these pages but they are all sadly lacking in pruduction values (whatever that means)
Here is an exception. http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=6-hN5kUtofI&feature=related
Re: As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg
I was waiting for the invisible guitarist to appear, and then there he was !
But....it's your dad, isn't it ?
There's at least one other set of videos on youtube already of cloned ITM, a young guy playing whistles and flute and keyboard, I recall, and he made it much funnier by getting them to interact as well.
Re: As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg
Come on kiddies, the clip was marvellous your man even looked like Alfred Hitchcock, the nuances and "pause for the obvious" moments were delicious, the concept was original, the playing was about as tidy as it gets, the tunes were rare enough to raise eyebrows and the pint of dark at the end really said it all----Up Yours!
Re: As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg
I'm pretty sure there's a video of Derek Bell doing all the different instruments - inspired by that famously titled album "Derek Bell plays with himself". I can't find it on YouTube but I'll post the link if I do. It's really brilliant - and shows what you can do with Chromakey if you know what you're doing...
Re: As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg
Haven't found it yet - it's not on the Chieftains "Water from the Well" DVD, but I definitely saw it. It might have been on one of those BBC4 music documentaries about the Chieftains. It's very entertaining and very well done - so worth seeing!

Yes, davydd, very impressive, very cute. I can see why he needed dark glasses on the first tune. Psychedelia is alive and well!
I've been thinking about installing a drum machine in my banjo, now I'm convinced.

Speaking as a professional I would say it had naive framing and is out of sync; what is getting you so excited about it..?

Re: As the rooster said whilst showing his hens an emu egg

McKnowall,

This person has taken great care in his productions:

Never been sure what to make of them tho.

I've seen that bloke before, davydd. The one I saw wasn't half as obnoxious as those two though!

He is obviously a saint. They are supposed to be capable of bilocation. No halo, though.

Speaking of the "Water from the Well" DVD, any idea what the tunes on track 4 ('The Galician Set') are called?
