The one who wrote the first tune is on soundlantern as "Bogman", and I'm assuming that he's the same bogman as here on thesession... I don't know if he has a myspace, though.
Fred Morrison, the writer of the second tune, definitely has a myspace.
Love those other clips there, too... "Bang your frog on the Sofa" is an awesome tune. If and when I learn it, I'd like to bring it to my session...
Many thanks for the heads up Joseph. Glad you like the tune. I'm actually one of your myspace friends already with one of my bands. I'll drop yourself and Martin t a wee hello on myspace tomorrow.
I'll give you a shout tomorrow about the band Joseph. I'd be happy for you to put the tune up if you like. My original abc's or on my member profile page.
A late 'nomination'...
A late 'nomination'...
This is a late add-on to a discussion from a few days ago:
http://www.thesession.org/discussions/display/20325
And also to get something out there that I really love in case no one's heard it yet...
Right now, my favorite member composition isn't on thesession as far as I know, but it would be the first tune in this set:

Speaking on soundlantern...
I like a lot "Bang your frog on the sofa" by Will (which you can hear in soundlantern played by the Rev:

but these reels by Ptarmigan aren't bad either:

Re: A late 'nomination'...
Which band was it?
p.s. Do you mind if I put your tune on the site here? I transcribed it awhile back, but wasn't sure if I should.

Thanks, I'll use yours... Mine is slightly different, so I'll put it in the comments.

Re: A late 'nomination'...
Fishing at Orbost is a cracking tune
as for one of Bogman's bands - the clue is in the name, surely?

Re: A late 'nomination'...
Great stuff lads, lovely tunes and well played. Ptarmigan's banjo sounds great with the piano.
