yes because you have to use a differnt part of your fingers to stop the holes, I think most low whistle players go nearer the first joint ,rather than using the fingertips like you would on a standard d whistle, its to do with covering the larger holes on the low whistle I think. Also the breath pressure is different.

is great and comes with cd , just google it you should find a copy.

you could sit on the ground and play a high whistle, then it would be lower....to the ground.....
